I've been posting US Navy Photos since 2006 and this is the first time I've ever seen photos of an US Navy SSBN entering drydock.





KINGS BAY, Ga. (August 13, 2019) The Ohio-class ballistic-missile submarine USS Tennessee (SSBN 734) (Blue) arrives at the Trident Refit Facility (TRF) dry dock at Naval Submarine Base Kings Bay, Ga., for a maintenance period, August 13.

Didn't know anything about this ship, so I googled it and it has 1000 beds. That's bigger than two of the nearest hospitals to me (350 each) and not a lot smaller than the third (1250).

There'll be the usual F-16 Viper and F-35B demo flights, plus a host of civil acrobat flights, plus the always impressive Marine Corps ground assault demonstration.
