Ukraine is trying to protect its human resources in order to survive as a nation. Much older people are conscripted into the army than in the West or Russia - in order to stop the mechanism of depopulation of the country. Unfortunately, they will be forced to lower the conscription age in the near future because there is simply a shortage of soldiers.
