12 year old Yana Stepanenko lost both legs last year during russia’s missile attack on Kramatorsk station. Last Sunday she ran the Lviv half marathon to raise money for the Unbreakable Foundation - helping children who have lost their limbs during the war

Volunteer soldier from Colombia, Alejandro Herrera Evia — was recently killed in action. He arrived to Ukraine in December 2022. His death was reported by El Tiempo on Monday, September 4th, 2023. He previously worked for the "Colombian Prosecutor’s Office and Technical Investigation Corps."

Belarusian volunteer fighters, aka the Kastuś Kalinoŭski Regiment, at the Museum of Independence in Kyiv, Ukraine (August 2023)

For context, these Belarusian soldiers visited the museum specifically to give them the belongings of a fallen Belarusian soldier who died defending Kyiv, specifically in Bucha on March 2022, named Ilya Litvin -- The first Belarusian volunteer who gave their life for Ukraine in the invasion. It will be part of an exhibition dedicated to the Belarusian defenders of Ukraine in opposition to their native country's close partnership with Russia that have existed since 2015.

Said belongings will be on display in this museum in addition to other sights belonging to fighters, both Ukrainian and not, who lost their lives defending Ukraine in the ongoing war with Russia.
