Politics Syrian Civil War

I'm not sure they feel thrown under the bus. They may be glad to be out of the line of fire. Plus they have US forces securing the oil fields for them.
Oh lordy
You still believe this pile of crap...
Of course they were thrown under the bus.
Only people not understanding the strings and history in ME will say the contrary (so mostly 'mericans)
I ll sum it up for you
1-they hoped for an autonomous at least and independant at most kurdish area. Bad call, the said area is now a resettlement for beardies with Erdogan approval.
2-they expected at least a thank you for having bleeding for months as auxiliary units against ISIL. Result, they were jettisoned as soon as not deemed usefull anymore and smashed by the turkish army and suppletives.
3- the oil fields are "secured" for the kurds?. Lol. They are not seeing a drop of oil or a copper coin. BTW the oils fields are still legaly syrian. What USA did is just armed (or rather armored-pun intended-) robbery.

They were thrown back from a corridor of 300 km lenght x 50 km deep and this was a limited loss thanks to the turkish russian agreement and you say that it is not being thrown under the bus?

With ethnic cleansing from turkish auxiliary elements...
And the loss of major cities like Afrin

Oh they should have known better, it is not the first time Uncle Sam dropped them. But please dont turn this move as a positive thing for them because it is not

Perhaps they should turn to France. LOL!

A Chechen from military contractor Malhama Tactical. I'm not sure if they are on the Turkish payroll or someone else. The badge on his shoulder is from the Chechen liberation movement.

Breaking: Assad has started shelling in at least two locations. At least the ceasefire lasted 20 minutes.

Hayat Tahrir al-Sham and other al-Qaeda groups, still remian outside the framework of the ceasefire deal and legal target in the framework of it.
Supporters HTS in tweeters took Turkish flag off their avatars.

WHO is warning infected Iranians to stay clear of refugee camps.

Lol, what happened yesterday serves Erdogan right. Putin judo-threw him on a table, bended him over, bummed him up the arse and rinsed his ringpiece with vodka for good measure, like the Russian bear he is.
Take note, people; that's what a cunning and crafty statesman looks like.

Well, another ceasefire on the current lines + Rebels must be pushed north of M4. This is even better then i can expect. Turkish efforts just ended in total failure, with the only result is more dead Syrian and Turkish soldiers. At least Syrians were killed when defend own country.

Jisr-al Shugur seemed like the next target. City is the place where active foreign terrorist groups (Chechens, Tadjiks etc). Also M4 going through the city. Look for them and Lattakia mountains in the next monthes.

Iran deploys 2,000 Quds and Hezbollah troops to Saraqib.

In order to to infect their enemies with coronavirus? I thought the B weapon is forbidden by law.

This ceasefire is never going to implemented. A Polish article mentions that two Turkish soldiers have been killed by the SAA in Idlib. In revenge, the Turks killed 21 Syrian soldiers with a drone?
Is it possible to kill so many soldiers with a drone without hitting an ammo dump? Either this number has been heavily inflated, or multiple kinds of weapons have been used.

Yes, it is possible. Not with one single MAM-L but multiple in a single strike. Which is how the UCAV's are working anyway.

The only loss is Erdogan's. It serves him right. He's the one that said he would reach Damascus, he's the one that said he wouldn't stop until he reaches the former Sochi lines. His talks do not reflect the reality on the ground, no such goals existed. The 2nd Army's main purpose was to keep the massive flow of refugees from reaching Turkey, Erdogan's goals do not reflect military goals, just words for his voters to consume.

What I do not understand is people seeing this as a victory or loss for either side. Yes TSK took losses, but if the retaliation strikes of 28th Feb didn't start SAA would have likely taken Idlib. Erdogan might have lost something, but for anybody to celebrate SAA advancing a few kilometers in their own country thanks to a deal between two foreign leaders is ridiculous.

So far as Kurds go, during this whole Idlib mess they tried to take advantage of the situation and attempted to cause problems in the Euphrates Shield, Olive Branch and Peace Spring areas, but were unsuccessful.

And Putin did'nt even tweet how amazing he is !
