Opposed to many other Strela-10 operators, Syria placed these systems around airbases instead of providing ground forces with a mobile SAM system. Although most 9K31 Strela-1s were placed into storage, all of Syria’s 9K35 Strela-10s are still believed to be in active service.

Reaching out to my fellow (and MORE informed M.I. posters) Question: What is the situation now in Syria, have they reclaimed all territory lost to ISIS and other groups? (*US media does not care what is happening in the rest of the world, since they have another agenda.)

Is the Syrian military rebuilding its bases and repairing damaged (and restorable) military equipment, such as restore of T-62, ZSU-23-4 and air-worthy Mi-17/Mi-24?

Thank you.

for tank it seem like Russian supply them with storage t62 and now some t72b3 ( Syria kinda like test bed for Russian , Israeli , American , german ,turk , Chinese , Iranian weapon :( Syria military is pretty much destroy from the civil war , they will never be same like the pre civil war period , at least they still manage to keep the majority of su24 mig29 fleet , but lost a lot of t72 tank and tank in general and Sam /radar sytem , while a lot of airbase and military base were destroy /damage , biggest loser are Syrian , destroy they own country for a thing that will never work in Syria ( democracy )
