At sinodefenceforum we've been have a discussion about the PLAN LCAC. I've never seen a
photo or a video of a PLAN LCAC actually entering a LPD. This photo is photoshopped. You can see at the forward part of the LCAC that the water spray is evenly cropped from another photo. I can't ever remember seeing a Chinese LPD with the well deck flooded.

I'm not sure if it isn't just the shadow of the upper part of the hatch that makes it look strange.

I'm also not sure if the deck is actually ment to get flooded at all. The LCACs and amphibious tracked vehicles can presumably leave and enter the ship via the ramp without the deck getting flooded. It seems common type landing crafts are ment to get supported from outboard davits.

I'm also not sure if the deck is actually ment to get flooded at all.

Oh it was meant to be flooded. Recently I found a photo of small craft operating out of a flooded PLAN LPD well deck.

Black and a Hawk :p

That's no surprise. Some years ago the Chinese purchased Blackhawk helicopters from the US. After the massacre at Tiananmen square in 1989 the US stopped selling China arms.

The Z-20 is meant to replace their aging Blackhawk helos;

from wiki...China (People's Republic of China)
In December 1983, examples of the Aerospatiale AS-332 Super Puma, Bell 214ST SuperTransport and Sikorsky S-70A-5(Blackhawk) (N3124B) were airlifted to Lhasa for testing. These demonstrations included take-offs and landings at altitudes to 17,000 feet (5,200 m) and en route operations to 24,000 feet (7,300 m). At the end of this testing, the People's Liberation Army Air Force purchased 24 S-70C-2s, equipped with more powerful GE T700-701A engines for improved high-altitude performance.[39] While designated as civil variants of the S-70 for export purposes, they are operated by the People's Liberation Army Air Force.

Yep..as I stated China purchased Blackhawks helos some years ago. They bought 24 and 21 are still operational but aging. I've not seen any recent photos of the PLA Blackhawks in sometime. These photos were posted earlier in this thread.
