The destroyer HMS Bristol in better times. The Type 82 destroyers were designed to escort the new generation CVA-01 aircraft carriers. When this was cancelled, the project was cancelled, completing a single unit used to develop new weapons systems such as the Mk8 cannon (based on the 105mm ATP Abbott piece), the Sea Dart air defense system or the British version, the Australian Ikara. Being conceived as an aircraft carrier escort, facilities for operating helicopters were not included, installing instead the Ikara system to give it long-range all-weather ASW capability and the classic ASW Limbo mortar.
In the image it already has a Type 1022 long-range radar that replaced the archaic original Type 965

You want big? You have got big! Japanese battleship Musashi. The Yamato-class ships were the heaviest and most powerfully armed battleships ever constructed, displacing almost 72,000 long tons (73,000 t) fully loaded and armed with nine 460-millimetre (18.1 in) main guns. Their secondary armament consisted of four 155-millimetre (6.1 in) triple-gun turrets formerly used by the Mogami-class cruisers. They were equipped with six or seven floatplanes to conduct reconnaissance.
