Destroyer USS Monssen (DD 436) at Bremerton’s Puget Sound Navy Yard (now PSNS & IMF on the Waterfront) on May 7, 1941. She had been commissioned at the shipyard in March 1941. USS Monssen served in World War II until she sank on November 13, 1942 during the Battle of Guadalcanal.
