2me Régiment Etranger de génie.

This French Foreign Legion unit is the engineer element of the 27me Brigade de Montagne, not mountain infantry per-se, but mountain trained and capable of operating at high altitudes. The regiment is based at the Quartier Maréchal Kœnig, located at the "Plateau d'Albion" near the town of Saint-Christol, in the PACA (Provence-Alpes-Cote D'Azur) region.

Anecdotally, or "pour la petite histoire", as the French would say: Quartier Maréchal Koenig used to be the "Base Aérienne 200" where the "1er Groupement de Missiles Stratégiques" was in charge of a missile farm with 18 intercontinental ballistic missiles in hardened silos.
