I'am looking for a the location of a wartime grave site. The location, according to the Bundesarchive is '' 2 Kilometer nordwärts Mogila-Majouskaja 10 Kilometer südwärts Pokrowskoje''.

If I read it correctly it is 10 km South of Prokoskoye and 2 km North of the village Mogila-Majouskaja. I tried Google earth an Google to find it. I can find several Prokoskoye's but Mogila-Majouskaya I can not find.

Anyone who can shed a light on this?

Sincerely
Lesley

The only combination of Mogila-Majouskaja and Pokrowskoje I could find occurs in this Dutch list (page 36). Apparently that soldier was then buried in Guljajpole, Zaporizhzhia Oblast. It seems though that this graveyard does not exist any more, but in the 1960s, bodies from German cemetaries throughout the region were apparently interred at a mass grave in the city of Zaporizhzhia where up to 7000 individuals may have been buried. See the link below (German) for more information.
