Hungary doesn't get much US aid (as well as other EU countries) they received mostly NATO surplus equipment or buy stuff through foreign military aid (if of US origin)

I once did guard duty, with the following kit - and no webbing:

sterling SMG - no mag
Pickaxe handle
Torch - it was dark
Radio - to call for help
And was expected to check passes, usually gave them the gun to hold while I did so.....
