"Syrian air defenses active in southern Syria, explosions in Damascus"

(Anything I post in quotation marks are rumours)

If I was the operator, I’d flick the switch and run like hell….
Personally if I were the IAF I would spent some time destroying as much of Syria's air defenses as I could before doing anything else, even if the main punch won't actually come from that direction (as a diversion and for future operations)

Fox now also reporting it.

Same in Iran. Means next time will be easier. Russian related sams are questionable, and Iran will struggle to make or buy more.

Looks like the strike on Iran has started!

The IDF now officially acknowledged the strikes.

This has the smell of a limited strike, half the footage on social media is strikes from Lebanon or a oil refinery fire from 2021, Tehran is pretty calm it seems...

At least one IRGC HQ and Iranian air defense sites and radars in Syria have all been mentioned. Seems like a preparation for further strikes.

Now Israeli media is claiming explosions in Shiraz (southern Iran).

According to Iranian state media (= all media) absolutely nothing happened so far, air defense shot down everything and the Juice are committing suicide at the gates of Teheran.

I just read a report that Iran had advanced warning and moved all their aircraft east to not get hit. This may not be the crippling strike we expected.

Say the mullahs who bought surplus "monkey model" Russian AD.

Iran closes it's air space.

Because whenever Iranian AD starts blasting every civilian airliner had better scurry to safety.

Source? Sounds like disinformation.

Tehran airspace just closed, let's see what happens next...

Iraq has closed it's air space to incoming and outgoing traffic until further notice.

It's not really a report though is it, it doesn't cite any sources. There's absolutely nothing in any media outlet I can see that mentions this, so I assume he saw it in another Twitter post and took it as gospel...

Whenever someone posts a claim on Twitter, I always double check media, that way I can tell what is fake news or not.

They've even been trained on the russian media playbook.

"air defense operating against", "air defense at work", "successfully confronted" and when they can't deny it anymore the familiar "debris from interceptions fell onto [something important]"
