The picture below shows the Guard's Jägers in October 2020. Equipped with a field suit M / 05, bulletproof vest M / 17 and a composite helmet. The weapon has been significantly improved with the 7.62 RK 62 red dot sight and front handle.
APILAS (Armor-Piercing Infantry Light Arm System), is a portable one-shot 112 mm recoilless anti-tank weapon. It's been in service in the Finnish Defence Forces. In the upper picture Guards Jägers in june1988 with Apilas and under it Guards Jägers armed with Apilas in october 2020.
The Commander of U.S. Army Europe and Africa, General Christopher G. Cavoli visited Finland 10- 12 January. General Cavoli familiarised himself with Army Arctic training in the Jaeger Brigade in Sodankylä and observed a live-fire exercise at the Rovajärvi training area. The visit was hosted by the Commander of the Finnish Army, Lieutenant General Petri Hulkko.
