The Finnish Air Force conducted the Ruska 20 air operations exercise between 28 September and 6 October 2020. More than 60 aircraft participated in the largest exercise of the Finnish Air Force in 2020, and 11 airfields across Finland were in use.

The emphasis of Ruska 20 was on maintaining and enhancing readiness, providing training for reservists, and cooperation with the Swedish Air Force. This year, the main operating bases were the Rovaniemi and Tikkakoski air bases.

Ruska 20 demonstrated the high readiness of the Air Force in protecting the integrity of Finnish airspace, and securing the functions vital to our society on a 24/7 basis in all situations. Active-duty personnel, conscripts and reservists operated in their emergency conditions’ tasks as per the Air Force’s mobile battle concept.

Conscripts from Nylands brigade were tested on beret march this week. The march was 70km long and had to be completed in under 30 hours. Basic skills of soldiers are tested on the way to see if they meet the requirements to earn the green beret of coastal jaegers.

EDIT (2018 info): To earn the beret soldier also has to run at least 2900m in cooper test (12min), swim 200m in 5min 30s and get good results from shooting and physical test (push ups, pull ups etc).

I'm sure "removing tank fear" is why it was originally started, but they continue it because it's fun.

Nyland Brigade answers for the education of a coastal ranger unit, ATU or an Amphibious Task Unit. The tasks of the ATU involve reconnaissance, surveillance and searching especially along the coast, in the archipelago and in harbours. The education language is Swedish and English. The course is voluntary for conscripts and based on application. International cooperation is trained during joint exercises e.g. with Swedish troops.

"The Finnish Defence Forces tested its joint fires capability and new ordnance taken into use over the last few years at the Rovaniemi training area during the Army Combined Joint Fires Exercise MVH 20. The development of the Finnish Defence Forces’ joint fires capability has been consistent and sustained effort over the last few years. Watch a Finnish Combat Camera video of the testing event."
