Lebanon wasn’t doing too bad until this political crisis of the past year. It’s also an internal political crisis, and for once they have neither the jooos, KSA or ISIS to blame.
Undeserving, for their people at least.
Ivan: conspiracy theorist loony’s are definitely a threat, not only for our brain cells but also a real life threat. I’m thinking of Alex Jones, Sandy Hook and the pizzeria incident, and have in mind a quote from Voltaire: “those who can make you believe absurdities can make you commit atrocities.”

In 2014 MV Rhosus, a Moldova-flagged cargo ship carrying 2,750 tonnes of ammonium nitrate from Batumi, Georgia, to Beira, Mozambique, stopped with technical problems at the port. When it was found unseaworthy, the owners and charterers abandoned it, its crew were repatriated, and its cargo brought ashore for storage.

Just texted with a friend of mine who did several tours with UNIFIL and knows the harbour.
The site of the explosion, a huge granary and several storage magazines, is only 400 metres away from the UNIFIL pier. Several foreign officials are said to have been injured, which might explain why Donald Trump called the incident an "attack" earlier today.
By the footage my friend has seen he thinks the secondary explosion is a dust explosion in the granary. The "fireworks display" occcuring earlier could be the ageing ammonium nitrate reacting only with delay. The area, which now appears flattened by the explosion, is a rectangle of about 300 by 150 metres.

Honestly, I don't know. But someone posted the AN explosion from Texas a few years ago and the mushroom cloud was gray.

When AN creates a NOx cloud, it's quite orange, not so brown. But there is a lot of stuff in the area, who knows with the light how orange or brown it actually was, Odin only knows what has actually gone up.
