The operator in the foreground is Nirmal Purja, ex Gurkha and now SBS who has climbed 10 of the worlds tallest mountains in 6 months when the previous record was 8 years.
 
The top pic of Op Nimrod is actually a promo shot from a BBC documentary made a few years later.

I think it was in the SAS Soldier's story series. Maybe i am worng.
 
Or, it’s a still from the movie, 6 days; which I’d recommend without qualification. And, if you like that, another option is ‘71. Paras in Northern Ireland. Also features SAS.
 
Its not from 6 Days - it was around waaaaay before that was made.

The film (6 Days) certainly got that period look but it massively distorts the importance/role of the lead character - a Junior NCO so switched on that he forgot to bring his gloves....
