Well, at least it doesn't look as funny as the Bavarian lvl 4 protection gear that was revealed 3 years ago and everyone made fun of. ^^

Besides SW, there is also a mild samurai theme going with these, so it retains some dignity : P

More of my stuff with the Alfa unit. It really boggles the mind that the best fighting unit in whole of Ukrainian services from police to the military still relies in combat on gear supplied by some schmuck from Silicone Valley :)

Just when I thought I was out...they pull me back in

Alfa with more of my gear and apparel.

Cannot ID the M4-AK hybrid on the last photo. Don't know it is an issued weapon or private purchase.

Police have foiled an alleged Christmas terror plot after swooping on a house in a quiet cul--de-sac in Newcastle upon Tyne.

Heavily armed officers from the police's elite counter-terrorism unit raided an address in the Arthur's Hill area of the city less than a mile from St James's Park football stadium and the Eldon Square shopping centre.

A 33-year-old man was arrested on suspicion on preparing acts of terror and was last night being questioned at a police station on West Yorkshire.

Locals expressed their shock at seeing police officers in military style uniforms descending on the normally quiet street shortly after 10am.

One man said: “They were dressed like soldiers and had guns - it is armed response. They told us to come up here and evacuated the street.”
Another local added: “I was expecting the council to come and fix my bathroom - but it was the police with guns telling me to get out my house. I said ‘you don’t look like the council’.”

PS: Can't help but wonder if those guys in green helmets and plate carriers are from the military or if the CTSFO officers are in new outfits.
