Indigo Partners portfolio airlines order 255 A321neo Family aircraft​

This order brings the total number of aircraft ordered by the Indigo Partners’ airlines to 1,145 A320 Family aircraft. The aircraft ordered today are a mix of A321neos and A321XLRs, which will be delivered to the individual airlines as follows:


  • Wizz Air: 102 aircraft (75 A321neo + 27 A321XLR)
  • Frontier: 91 aircraft (A321neo)
  • Volaris: 39 aircraft (A321neo)
  • JetSMART: 23 aircraft (21 A321neo + 2 A321XLR)

That is becoming an industry wide problem for American aviation.
 
That's a British plane built in North Ireland: a Shorts 330. Flew a lot on them between our little airport in Dutchess County NY and JFK when we were travelling to or from the USA. It was 2 hours (or 3) by car or airport limo or 30 minutes by air. When this thing arrived in JFK, it always seemed a miracle a 747 did'nt just roll over it.

It' s a sturdy plane it seems!
