Exclusive: Wizz Air replaces operations chief after probe into pilot redundancies


PARIS (Reuters) - Low-cost carrier Wizz Air has replaced its flight operations chief after he was apparently recorded telling his team to draw up a redundancy list of pilots who were often sick or “caused grief” while sparing cheaper contract Crew.

Well that backfired thoroughly for him.
 
Boeing has notified 16 operators of 737 Max airliners to urgently examine the electrical systems on their fleet and suspend all operations until the necessary checks have been completed. A spokesperson for Boeing said the components on the affected aircraft are insufficiently grounded, potentially causing an in-flight loss of on-board electronics. In the USA alone, some 60 aircraft have to be pulled from revenue service. (Source, English)
