FAA audit of Boeing's 737 Max production reportedly found 'dozens of issues'

An FAA audit of the Boeing 737 Max's production found "dozens of problems" during a six-week audit, according to a report from The New York Times.

A document reviewed by the Times found that a mechanic at Spirit used a hotel key card to check a door seal. In another instance, the FAA reportedly saw Spirit mechanics apply liquid Dawn soap to a door seal to use as a lubricant in the “fit-up process.”

This is wild, a United Airlines 737 en route from Denver to LA collided with an object at cruising altitude, causing the windscreen to shatter, injuring the pilot. As birds do not fly at such altitudes and other explanations are yet to be found, it is assumed the aircraft may have collided with a meteorite or piece of space debris. (Source)
