Omicron speeds opening up or have millions isolating and no economy. Within a month it makes the forcing of the last few to get a jab and passports a silly idea.
The protestors timing seems to be based on common sense. Trudeau, Vaxcinder and Macron all gave us predictions from their expert modellers as evidence as to why we should be jabbed and locked down, now they can't give an opening up time when the inevitable is right in front of their noses?

Doesn't matter, he's leading a minority government already. He'll get re-elected because the opposition will fall apart due to infighting like they always do leaving no other alternative except another minority government led by Trudeau. He knows this which is why he can act the way he does.
As long as he has the police, intelligence agencies and the army following orders he will stay in power.

I'm hoping that this last few days has been the proverbial bridge too far for him. I'm kind of surprised that the opposition didn't go for a no confidence vote.

I'm suspecting it's divide and conquer. Use a mixture of promise and/or threat on the right dissidents within your own party or opposition members just enough that they reconsider their position.
They are probably into some face saving dogma. The system is always right. Thinking playing some music and turn on the sprinklers would work. Is pure arrogance mixed with ignorance.
