12 Jan 1967. The South Vietnamese Premier, Air Vice Marshall (AVM) Nguyen Cao Ky, whilst on his ‘getting to know you tour’ of the Australian Task Force at Nui Dat, visits the United States (US) Artillery men who are supporting the Task Force. The US Artillery men are using 155mm tracked Howitzers.

1967. The ANKPQ M1 radar of 131 Divisional Locating Battery, Royal Australian Artillery, located at Nui Dat Base. The ANKPQ M1 radar was used, with limited success, to locate enemy mortars by tracking incoming mortar rounds.
