Type 56 in action
Type 56 is an Chinese made 7.62x39 assault rifle, it is based on Soviet Type 3 AK and AKM rifles. With 10 million made since 1956 it is very common rifle in the world and can be encountered everywhere, from Syria to Bosnia to Zimbabwe. It can be easily identified from Soviet-made AK, since early models have so called pig-stick bayonet under the handguard, front sights are fully closed with a hood, also furniture can often indicate that rifle is Chinese, later production models have metal side folding stock with very specific shape. Enough talking, now photos.
