Mehdi Jasim published in the Iraqi ANB television (
https://fb.watch/7wmBoF52ub/) - more correctly quoted - the Trump-Taliban agreement that was signed in Washington last February. At that time, the US announced to the Taliban the withdrawal of US forces in exchange of the fulfillment of three conditions:
1. The Taliban and then-ruling Ghani government must reach agreement on power and political differences
2. Taliban must permanently break ties with Al Qaeda and all other terrorist organizations
3. In the future, neither Taliban nor other groups should use Afghanistan to attack US interests, wherever they may be.
When Biden came to power, he repealed all agreements and announced that he would withdraw U.S. forces stationed in Afghanistan by the end of August this year. Biden did not link that to conditions, like Trump. He did not even take into account the interests of U.S. citizens in Afghanistan, something that has never happened before in U.S. history.
In addition to 2,500 U.S. soldiers, there were in the country 40 to 50,000 U.S. civilian employees and entrepreneurs, whose work was supplemented by 60 to 70,000 local laborers, interpreters, and administrators, who were entirely dependent to U.S. forces. It is incomprehensible why the withdrawal of soldiers took place in the first step and not the civilians left the country?
