The Taliban leadership sets itself the task of in the maximum possible way to bring the entire territory of Afghanistan under its control by September 11, thereby effectively celebrating the 20th anniversary of the beginning of the "War on Terror" declared in 2001 by the United States.

Yes.

B52 runs are mostly to "slow down" the Talibans, but since they are now occupying most of the country and are moving way faster than anticipated by Biden, it's like trying to stop tide to go up.

At least the taliban appear to be following the US CDC social distancing guidelines before they asploded. We have a fairly recent Christmas card list/grid of their training & HQ camps. Someone should also tell them not to store their bombs where they sleep [secondary explosions]. We can work at night buckwheat.

Denmark's sending a few in for Embassy & humanitarian evacuation. Hope the Afghan gov't can hold onto Kabul Intl Airport for a few more days. That would be a big help. We can still use our Ukraine plan. Leave a few gunships orbiting to look for baddies & never shut down. Best of luck to all on a safe operation.

The Taliban retaking Kabul on the 20th anniversary of 9/11 is the perfect footnote to the history of the decline and fall of American Empire.

Fuckers are moving fast indeed, and JoeBi decision to pull the last US troops out right the day marking the anniversary of 9/11 was either incredibly cynical or stupid.
