Wasp-class amphibious assault ship USS Boxer (LHD 4) steams in the Pacific Ocean, Dec. 14, 2023. The Boxer Amphibious Ready Group, comprised of USS Boxer, San Antonio-class amphibious transport dock USS Somerset (LPD 25), and lead ship of her class of landing ship dock USS Harpers Ferry (LSD 49), and the embarked 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit are underway conducting integrated training and routine operations in U.S. 3rd Fleet. 14 Dec 2023

Hibiki-class ocean surveillance ship in the Kurushima Strait. Sept 2023.
The Hibiki class was developed in response to the launch of the Kilo-class submarines by the Soviet Union, and their deployments in the waters near Japan. The Defense Agency announced plans to develop a surveillance ship in 1989.
The first Hibiki-class vessel was commissioned on January 23, 1991, and the second, Harima, on March 10, 1992

HMS Somerset inbound to Devonport this morning following a visit to Haakonsvern naval base in
Norway where the missile canisters were mounted for the first time.
Over a year since it was announced and mechanical problems with HMS Somerset have delayed the work to fit the missile but at last, the interim replacement for the obsolete Harpoon block 1C in RN service is here.
Officially called the Maritime Offensive Strike System (MOSS) by the RN, this highly stealthy missile also has land attack capabilities.
