The IL-38 Sea Dragon Long Range Maritime Patrol aircraft of the Indian Navy bid adieu after 46 yrs of glorious service to the nation.
The decommissioning ceremony was held today at INS Hansa, Dabolim. Admiral R Hari Kumar CNS was the Chief Guest.

Having revalidated the firing of its 20 mm caliber gun and 70 mm rockets in March this year, IAF Light Combat Helicopters Prachand recently carried out operations from a helipad located at an elevation of nearly 10,000 ft in forward areas.

In continuation with his ongoing visit, the CAS Air Chief Marshal VR Chaudhari visited various forward area locations in the North East where he interacted with air warriors, complimenting them for their operational preparedness.

IAF deployments that he visited include those at Farkawn, Mechuka, Pasighat, Tuting and Ziro. During these visits, he was also briefed about the op deployment of the detachments in the ongoing Ex Poorvi Akash.

Marking an end of an era, the MiG-21 Bison aircraft were seen for the last time in the skies of Uttarlai in Barmer district of Rajasthan. The MiG-21 Bison flew along side the Su-30 MKI to mark the occasion.

Exercise Harimau Shakti-IV 2023
The 4th edition of India-Malaysia joint military exercise Harimau Shakti 2023 concluded after the validation training at Umroi, Meghalaya. The exercise facilitated synergy in the conduct of joint tactical operations and promoting understanding & interoperability between the two Armed Forces.

General Manoj Pande COAS visited Siachen Glacier & reviewed the operational preparedness. The COAS also laid wreath at Siachen War Memorial to honour the Bravehearts who made the supreme sacrifice at the World’s Highest Battlefield.
Indian Army Northern Command IA Fire Fury Corps

The COAS interacted with the soldiers deployed at the highest battlefield & commended them for their professionalism & dedication to duty under the most challenging conditions and exhorted them to continue working with the same zeal & enthusiasm.

Exercise KAZIND-2023
India-Kazakhstan Joint Military Exercise KAZIND-2023 commenced with an impressive opening ceremony at Otar in Kazakhstan. The contingents are going to practice conduct of Counter Terrorism operations in a sub-conventional environment, sharing tactical drills & promoting best practices.

The inaugural firing of 70mm rocket and 20mm turret guns of Light Combat Helicopter LCH Prachand, was successfully executed, both by day & night. Lt Gen AK Suri, DG Army Aviation witnessed the firing from the leading helicopter of the three attack helicopter formation for real-time validation of the Armament capability of an LCH Squadron.

8th Edition of joint Special Forces Exercise between Indian Navy MARCOs & US Navy Seals, conducted at Goa, 23 Oct - 10 Nov 23. The 2 forces engaged in various Maritime Special Operations activities. IN Western Fleet underwent change of guard on 10 Nov 23 with RAdm CR Praveen Nair, NM taking over the mantle of Flag Officer Commanding Western Fleet from RAdm Vineet McCarty. The occasion was solemnised with a ceremonial naval parade and the traditional ‘Pulling-Out’ ceremony.
