Indian Army inducted the lighter & compact version of Weapon Locating Radar WLR (SWATHI) Mountains to enhance its battlefield surveillance & transparency capabilities. Indigenously developed by BEL, Bengaluru, the Radar is intended for operations in mountains & high-altitude areas.

In a swift night-operation, Indian Coast Guard Station Mandapam seized 130 Kg of Sea Cucumber worth Rs. 57 lakhs at Uchipuli shore near Rameshwaram today evening. Seized consignment handed over to Forest Department for legal formalities.
