Photos Afghan Armed Forces (Prior to 2021)

It's obvious Pakistan is aiding the Taliban against the Northern Alliance. Yesterday, the Taliban announced it plans to get involved in Kashmir, which will lead to confrontation with India. Afghanistan will continue to be a clusterfark, perhaps even sparking much larger conflicts.

" I was a big proponent of the Americans keeping Bagram Air Base. Staff about 3K soldiers for perimeter security. Park a few fast movers & a few spookies & if the ANA had held together they could tell us coordinates when the taliban massed somewhere & bomb the dickens out of them. Would not have stopped the random attacks but they couldn't have taken over the entire gov't. Keep a base there for the next 50 years. Rotate air squadrons from NATO like we do for the Baltic Patrols."

So the ANA would crumble next month instead of last month? Even the Trump admin saw the end, despite of the denial from Baguette Bob in this forum.
I'm not tactical enuf to think 1 airbase would have solved all the immediate problems for Afghanistan but my heart is not ready to just give up on 40M people. If the ANA & the Afghan gov't had the airstrike threat maybe the taliban wouldn't have been so bold in their march into Kabul & most important it would have bought time for an orderly safe withdrawal of all coalition citizens & allies with a minimum of threat to soldier's lives & cash outlay. Now, due to the rocket fast exit of the main military force we're left tracking down our citizens in the dark of night hopefully before we find ourselves dealing with a hostage situation of our citizens being held for ransom by terrorists. Presently it's being reported that there are 5 or 6 airplanes full of people being held hostage by the taliban in mazar-i-sharif. If this turns out to be correct then the worst nightmare has started.

It'll come down to this one day soon, it's getting harder with every one, just one more:
Cross over children. All are welcome. All welcome. Go into the Light. There is peace and serenity in the Light.

Yes, I am having the same of reports coming my way.

Six planes (with hundreds of evacuees, including American citizens) are not allowed to leave Afghanistan by the Taliban

It is possible the Taliban are already getting advanced technical advice and assistance from third parties (Pakistan/China). Even up to and including pilots and maintenance personnel.
By the end of the Taliban offensive, the Afghan Air Force wasn’t even able to put together a real air campaign. Almost all the aircraft left were in unflyable condition. Them being now able to use air-assets implies something must have changed.

Maybe, when asked those searching questions, like are u a taliban, they lied.

How about that.

This is a September 01, 2021.

The same 6 airplanes have been in the same place for at least 5 days now.

Sources say 22 American residents (19 citizens) are part of the 600-1200.
The charter flights are still on the ground and have permission to land in Doha "if and when the Taliban agrees to takeoff".

*How could this have happened*
*Biden planned for every contingency*

"We're going to coordinate with terrorists to kill the other terrorists to help the first terrorists secure their power"

The reason the Afghan "army" crumbled so fast is because they were the equivalent of a "mercenary army".
Multiple classics on political and military science talked of how fragile and undependable mercenaries are in wars, and we had this knowledge for centuries.

Once the US realized its blunders and did so to a degree that it actually committed to pulling out, to assure a safe pull-out it wouldn't need to just rely on itself, rely on Trump plan or Biden plan, or rely on a pointless mercenary army.
It would need to establish a comprehensive strategy involving all CSTO and SCO member-states and observers. Why? Because nobody closely or remotely bordering Afghanistan benefits from a botched-up US withdrawal aside from scoring short-term political points by laughing at the US. But the long-term problem remains - now the Taliban & Co. are a threat to everyone in the region. And ultimately, everyone in the region would have been interested in helping the US to withdraw pacifically, providing the logistics, the army personnel, maybe even the funds, to ensure a "safe exit" that wouldn't shake the entire region.
But to negotiate with CSTO/SCO the US would have to completely swallow its pride. And apparently pride is more important than safety. Or rather, ideological optics are worth more than human lives. Even American ones.
I beg to differ - the problem is they were Afghans

Most mercenaries are will trained and up for it

A nuclear exchange between India and Pakistan. That will mean only one thing: Nobel Peace Prize 202[X] for Biden confirmed! ?

I'm guessing all of these coordinates will just happen to be in the Pansjhir valley just like the coordinates of that "imminent attack" where they played Sleepy Joe like a fiddle to do their dirty work for them. Stupidity is hereditary in the Biden family.
