Second one - from a non western news agency seems to indicate he will be jailed if he returns to Ruskia

Both seem relevant to the person we are discussing and his political party

Snowden released classified footage/documents that I have seen - a lot of it should not have seen the light of day - but I can see why the American's would not be happy - have they tried to poison him? no

Assange - is just a strange bundle - a lot of the documents he has released are again embarrassing to the US - the 'rape' charges I think are a bit dodgy - but might be true - but again have they poisoned him

They all have a common trait, the face of mental clinic patients:

Blank surface level stares, with no depth in eyes. Lots of excess emotion in voice.
Navalny is trying to hide his mental state by playing cringy intellectual frowns, but the instability still shines through, hard to hide it.

Comparing Russian opposition figures to western woke crowds is actually the most accurate comparison one could do for a westerner to understand what they represent. "The Russian Woke" is pretty much how they're seen in Russia and the vibes they emit. Emotional, lots of anti-patriotism disguised as "care for the people", lot of crying online, lots of hostility, lots of cussing on or off screen, lots of ego complexes. And the further we move through the years, the more emotional they get and the less liked they are by the public.

The only difference is that western opposition isn't receiving Russian support, money, and political/media cover; since Russia can neither afford nor is interested in using western opposition as tools of influence against Merkel, Macron, Trump or BoJo.
Although of course there are some rumors Russia could be involved with AfD in Germany and National Front in France. But I doubt Russia has the tools and resources to be involved to the same degree in EU/USA domestic politics, as EU/USA have the resources to be involved in Russian domestic politics. But then again, you have morons claiming Russia can influence the US elections, even though the US can't influence Russian elections to the same degree... which sounds sketchy to say the least.

If Russia would be a completely isolated state, with zero coverage of its domestic affairs in western press and political info scape, I wouldn't doubt one bit that the so called "opposition" in Russia wouldn't even be visible or would even barely ever rear its head.
The wet dream of every Russian "opposition" leader is to live in an expensive villa somewhere in the US/UK/Spain/France/Germany, eat caviar, receive money for writing horrifying stories about Putin, hold emotional speeches at the EU parliament or the UN, beg the west to implement more sanctions against Russia (perfectly knowing all sanctions primarily impact the average Russian on the street), and ideally become some global political celebrity, whilst marvelously continuing to fail to draw up any plan for actual political reforms for Russia.

Cry wolf => get recognition and money => do nothing productive in life => rinse and repeat.
