Crime Russian opposition figure hospitalized

I don’t have a problem with the guy as much as maybe some Russians do with him.

Putin said it best a few weeks ago: if we wanted him dead, he’d be already.

So was it a serious warning? Should he have stayed in Berlin and Germany?

A bold move to go back to Russia knowing what he could expect there. No death sentence but at least an arrest warrant.

He is telling the police he wants his advocate to come with him.

I'm not sure if I'm to admire the cojones of a man who'll get himself arrested for his convictions – or shake my head at his stupidity. Well, it's probably true what they say: courage and stupidity are kindred spirits.

Haven't followed the whole thing but... is it established that he was indeed poisoned, that he was indeed poisoned by someone affiliated to Putin, and the such?

It's been established that he was indeed poisoned. Numerous reputable institutions from several countries have confirmed as much.

Late last year, Bellingcat unearthed somebody associated with the FSB whom Nawalny – posing as a ranking officer – then called, tricking the man into implicating himself in an attempt to destroy evidence for a poisoning. You can listen to the call on Youtube. Apparently, the FSB guy was on sick leave with Covid-19; maybe that's why he let his guard down.

There seems to be a lot of evidence pointing towards the involvement of the FSB. Nawalny says only Putin could've ordered an attempt on his life. Take it for what you will. Personally, I'd also find exploring the possibility of a rogue FSB unit worthwhile.

Half an hour break now. Hopefully they will decide to keep him in detention. Otherwise he is F***ed.
