Until 1967 women mainly served in nursing fields in the JSDF. 1967 is the given year for when JSDF truly allowed women to serve in mainstream units (not combat related)

Last Thursday, SMN*GX Charlotte Robertson and SMN*GX Kyra Evans (Gap Year Entries) were given the amazing opportunity to embark HMAS Rankin for their first time in a submarine for an overnight sea phase experience where they’ll get to experience life at sea as a submariner.
