Gents I'm done with this forum for now and the foreseeable future. Too much foul language and political chatter for me. When a thread has foul language in the title that's just wrong in my book. Call me sensitive or what ever you wish but to me those type of postings are offensive.I bid you all a fond farewell.

Rust on the USS Benfold . Look like the Navy need some sand paper and paint instead of shinny F-35.

And @bdpopeye I understand your decision .I may follow you soon.

I guess crews aren't allowed to paint rust, in case some paint toxins get into the ocean. Also are now required to use environmentally safe water based paint. Crazy!

Afterburners pushing it straight into the ocean...naval aviation is inherently dangerous...

F-4 Phantom [from VF-151] that's getting ready to crash in the water. It was getting ready to be launched when the cable that shoots it off the catapult slipped off and tore off the front landing gear. All you see is the after burners and the jet plane going off the angle deck into the water. Both pilots ejected and one of them landed on the flight deck but the other one landed on top of an F-4. His back hit the wing and than he just fell into the water and we lost him. The other one was being dragged on the flight deck by his chute so we all ran after him trying to catch him but he signalled not to grab him. He went over the side too but he made it to our relief!
