Valletta, Malta (June 26, 2004) - The conventionally powered aircraft carrier USS John F. Kennedy (CV 67) pulls into the port of Valletta, Malta, for a scheduled port visit. Kennedy is one of seven aircraft carriers participating in Summer Pulse 2004. Summer Pulse 2004 is the simultaneous deployment of seven aircraft carrier strike groups (CSGs), demonstrating the ability of the Navy to provide credible combat power across the globe, in five theaters with other U.S., allied, and coalition military forces. ARABIAN GULF (Nov. 5, 2018) An F-35B Lightning II fighter jet, attached to the “Avengers” of Marine Fighter Attack Squadron (VMFA) 211, launches from the flight deck of the Wasp-class amphibious assault ship USS Essex (LHD 2) during a scheduled deployment with the Essex Amphibious Ready Group (ARG) and 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU). The Essex ARG and 13th MEU is the first U.S. Navy and Marine Corps team to deploy to the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations with the transformational warfighting capabilities of the F-35B Lightning II, making it a more lethal, flexible and persistent force, leading to a more stable region for our partner nations. Truman (CVN 75), Nov. 5, 2018. Harry S. Truman is participating in Trident Juncture 18, a month long exercise designed to test NATO’s ability to plan and conduct a major collective defense operation – from troop training at the tactical level, to command over large elements of a NATO force. The exercise takes place in Norway and the surrounding areas of the North Atlantic and the Baltic Sea, including Iceland and the airspace of Finland and Sweden. More than 50,000 participants – including U.S. service members – are participating, utilizing approximately 150 aircraft, 65 ships and more than 10,000 vehicles in support of the exercise. I respectfully request you cease and desist, although creating a thread for that purpose might be a good idea and would attract people with an interest in the same but those without can stay clear.
Personally I prefer more realistic discussion about the subject matter, don't take that as me not having a sense of humour though just think it would be better served in its own thread
