January 20th is the most tragic day in the Ukrainian armed forces history. 50(!!!) Ukrainian servicemen made the ultimate sacrifice on the is day. 49 of them were the last defenders of Donetsk International Airport who were killed during the structural collapse of the new terminal building and subsequent Russian final assault. People were passing out during the bell ringing ceremony.
More pics from January 20th ceremonies. It should be noted, that member of the foreign diplomatic missions in Ukraine and military attaches also came to pay their respects.
OK. I have not posted pics of this kind in a while since I work with Special Forces and recently I haven't been able to get permission from the units commanding officers as well as counterintelligence to share pics of the gear I supply to the troops with a wider audience. Once again, not sure what the logic is as I don't break any laws and simply don't have financial resources to supply "game changing" equipment.
Anyway, this is the third and unfortunately the last camera built by me as GoPro discontinued Session like a few years back, and it's tough to get pre-owned units in good condition anymore. The camera has been extensively tuned with airsoft gear and accessories. Sniper pair is using it to shoot a promo video. Whether it's going to be posted or not remains to be seen as well.
On January 22nd, 2020 Russian sniper killed 22 years old Nikolai Sorochuk Just a few moments before he was killed he sent a text message to his fiance. A few minutes later he was dead.
It looks like the Russian forces are trying to break Ukrainian hold on Bakhmut's highway. The fighting heavily intensified on the eve of yet another meeting between Ukrainian and Russian presidents.
One of the Ukrainian positions which have been heavily targeted by the Russian 120mm Mortar batteries in recent days.
