Unfortunately, once again, I cannot fight Russian propaganda machine which is well financed and now found a new niche which it effectively exploits. There are two documentaries playing on film festivals and winning awards. These "independent" features portray homicidal thugs as "anti-American" fighters, and, thus are extremely popular with the left. How come killing Ukrainians equates to being anti-US and anti-NATO, I don't get it. The funny part is that both of protagonists in these movies have been forced to flee the pro-Russian forces because they pissed off everyone there.

Daaaaamn. I realize that to make this video and to look good in the competition, equipment was pulled from everyone in the respective units, but in the end it looks on par with the best out there. Most of the sniper rifles (OK, DMR) are Ukrainian Zbroyar Zo08 Gen II (or similar model).

Dmytro Ukrayinsky, call sign “Shubin”, was killed while covering a reconnaissance unit in the “grey zone” near Mayorske, Donetsk Oblast on August 8, 2018. He went MIA, but on August 10, his comrades recognized Dmytro’s tattoo, and his body was returned by the enemy to the Ukrainian side.
Dmytro was born in Khrestivka, Donetsk Oblast on November 3, 1979. He went to war as a volunteer in 2014, fought at Severodonetsk and Debaltseve, and then enlisted in the 24th Separate Mechanized Brigade.
Dmytro leaves behind his grieving wife.
