At the beginning of 2022, more than 30,000 Maxim machine guns were retrieved from storage – and the vintage water-cooled weapon proved to be highly efficient on the cutting edge of air defense against the "Shakhed" drones due to its ability to fire for several minutes in a row.
Question: what weapons and in what quantities would NATO countries be able to prepare in the event of full mobilization?
This is of course a rhetorical question.

Yesterday, February 26, during one of the Ukrainian counterattacks near Avdiivka in the Donetsk Oblast, Russian troops destroyed an M1 Abrams tank belonging to the 47th Separate Mechanized Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. It is one of the best armed Ukrainian brigades, equipped with the best Western equipment: M1A1 and Leopard 2A6 tanks and M2 infantry fighting vehicles.
The M1 tank attacked the Russian positions alone, making it a highly visible target on which the Russians concentrated their fire.
The tank was reportedly first hit by a Lancet missile and then finished off by small FPV drones. The ammunition magazine was hit, but the specific design of this element saved the crew from death. The ammunition magazine of the M1 tank is located at the rear of the turret and is isolated from the interior by a movable armored partition. A specially weakened element in the structure was placed on top of the turret. Thanks to this, in the event of ignition, the entire force of the ammunition explosion is directed upwards, which prevents the tower and the entire vehicle from bursting. The destruction of the Ukrainian M1 Abrams was recorded by soldiers of the Russian 15th Motorized Infantry Brigade.
