Other Post Turkey-Greece tensions, shots fired

Is there any official Russian statement about that? I thought that Russia is traditional Greece ally as fellow orthodox.

Just from chatter on Twitter, but I found this:

The article from aawsat.com is over a year ago and it is about economic cooperation if the project is viable, nothing about military.

There is a report that a Turkish Frigate tried to block the path of a Greek Frigate and was rammed. Conflicting stories on damage. From none, to the Turkish Frigate is dead in the water due to prop damage. Developing....

Here's more.

The Greek Hellenic Navy frigate collided with a Turkish Navy frigate that was escorting the Turkish research and survey vessel Oruç Reis in the Eastern Mediterranean, according to unconfirmed reports.

The frigates were identified as Greek Elli-class frigate Limnos (F451) and Turkish Barbaros-class frigate TCG Kemal Reis (F-247). Limnos reportedly suffered “limited damages”, while the Turkish frigate have suffered “more serious damage”.

Frigate LIMNOS: The 3 phases that knocked out Kemal Reis, who tried to ram the Greek ship but paid dearly

Greece has a tradition of seafaring which goes back thousands of years. The Turkish CO looks like he got inspiration from the Venezuelan captain who sunk his own ship while ramming the RCGS Resolute.

At least no one was hurt.

The Turkish Ministry of Defense released this video, via twitter, which shows the F-247 frigate Kemal Reis normally in front of Oruc Reis, which continues to sail in the eastern Mediterranean. And if the most observers claim that towards the end of the video it seems to tilt inexplicably for no reason, with the sea calm. And if the scenarios about the stability of the Turkish ship have erupted, experts on the subject estimate that because it is moving at high speed it may attempt to change course and therefore seems to be tilting.

TCG Kemal Reis (F 247) continues his mission
With rumors of damage TCG Kemal Reis continues to protect Oruç Reis.

The damage supposed to be on the starboard side but they don't show that.

As has been mentioned online, no one knows for sure when this video was taken and as you mention no pictures of the starboard side. The Hellenic Navy ship was seen the next morning exercising with the French Navy with very minor damage on the bow.

I'll share some tidbit I got from another forum with you, here.

After all his bluster, Erdogan has lost face in this ramming incident. Apparently there is a Hellenic Navy video which is not at all flattering to the Turkish Navy. Greece hasn't released it because they are trying to diffuse the situation and not trap him in an embarrassing corner. Because, you know.....we know how he is.

If you're curious as to the state of TCG Kemalreis, ask the Greeks to take you off the coast of Cyprus where its sailing right now? This is just like the Courbet incident all over again, haven't the Greeks learned anything from the French about being a little too loud? Might end up making an ass of themselves.

Also, as has been pointed by various scholars, Hagia Sophia is and has always been a Christian cathedral. You can call it anything you want, but for those who kneeled there with Erdogan, were kneeling before Jesus Christ and the Virgin Mary. Let that mental image matriculate throughout Turkey.

I'm from Istanbul.

So tell you what. Catch a flight, I'll personally meet you there. I'll take you in front of Hagia Sophia. And then you can tell me about how its a Christian cathedral.

Its amazing to think that, the Hagia Sophia cat who has an instagram page contributes more to it than any living or recently deceased Christian. That cat has more rights to claim Hagia Sophia as a birth right than any Christian. Let that mental image simmer throughout wherever the hell it needs to. :)

The Kemalreis may still be sailing, but it appears that it has a large gash which starts at the top of the hangar bay and goes halfway down the hull on it's starboard side. Somehow Erdo represents that as teaching the Hellenic Navy a lesson.

Regarding Hagia Sophia, there was no reason for Erdogan to stick his thumb in the eye of tens of millions of Christians, who still consider it a high holy place, other than to prove what a dick he could be.
