The pics were taken in 1955 when the last German POWs came home from Russia. The pics were taken in the "Grenzdurchgangslager Friedland", you could translate it as Border Transit Camp, Friedland being the town where it was located. The camp was installed on September 20, 1945 by the British Army to process German refugees form Prussia and Sudetenland etc. The installation was built on the agricultural research station of the nearby university of Göttingen. Later on the camp was used to process refugees from the GDR and other East Bloc countries. Over the years Friedland also housed refugees from Chile, Lebanon, Vietnam and, AFAIK, it is still functioning as. refugee center today.
The nurses should be from the German Red Cross, I don't have the slightest idea who the pilot would be. Unfortunately there were no captions with the pics. But it looks as if the pilot was one of the liberated POWS, my best guess would be that it was either a high ranking officer or some kind of VIP, he seems to be in quite a good physical condition, something that could not be said about the regular returnees from the USSR.
Hope this helps, sorry I can't give you more information.
