The loser is you. It's your taxpayer's money wasted for Proxy Bashar and his disastrous mismanagement of everything, not mine. So keep aiding that clown. And be glad that Iran is taking the heavy burden on delivering fresh supplies of mercenaries for his "Syrian Arab Army", so you don't have to do that too.
As for me - I'm just feel sorry that because of all this innocent people are mass murdered 24/7.
Says the local resident cheerleader for moderate beheaders and hardcore headchoppas.
??
Assad is nothing better, nothing worst than the rulers of KSA, Qatar, Bahrein, etc... all of them have their hands soaked with the blood of innocents and nobody in the west cares about it.
Oh the hipocrisy...

Another one from the old pack. The first two are chanting "yaaaaaay!" to Proxy Bashar, Russia and Iran, while this mate is chanting "boooooo!" against any opposition.
Combined with your attitude, the word "cheerleader" turns into self-portrait.
Regardless of which horse you all have in this race (or not), it would be nice if we could stay more on topic and avoid snipping at each others. Quite honestly this seems to be the only problem thread these days on this fine forum.
The problem besetting entire humanity is mirrored so well in the whole Syrian conflict. One aspect of it is black and white thinking, a classic sign of a borderline personality disorder. The whole case against Assad's government is pointing out its evils, whilst simulataneously ignoring the evil of the forces opposing him. The Syrian people have contracted Assad;s typhoid. Yet, then we are propagandized into believing the cure for Assad's typhoid is the Jihadi cholera. How is this a solution? Some more fundamental change in humanity is needed to create a better world. I am sensing a lack of sincerity in solving this conflict. You cannot combat the evil of one side by unleashing another kind of evil to combat it.
Turkish army now directly confronting Syrian Arab Army. Sure this did not change a whole situation, but delayed Syrian army offensive in Idlib region. Also brings more casualties amongst Turkish and Syrian soldiers.

Here is my recap:
When the Iran&Russia-backed Shia militias came close to the town of Idlib, the possibility of tens of thousands inhabitants to crash in Turkey became real. As response, Erdogan started huge military deployment in order to prevent this. The Regime reacted with hostility - shortly before reaching Taftanaz air base, it's militias shelled the Turkish troops stationed there, probably hoping to force them to evacuate. But when they reached the entrance, the Turks were still there. There was also air attacks, which inflicted severe damages to one of the Turkish convoys somewhere near this location:

But this development is causing damages on the regime as well. Yesterday the wing of one Mi-24 was bited:
And today one Mi-17 was destroyed with its crew:
Also, there is sharp increase on ATGM launches by the "National Liberation Front" against Regime targets with many hits, so we can assume that Turkey is delivering supplies to this group.
Militants affiliated with al-Qaeda and ‘White Helmets’ are preparing to stage a chemical attack in Idlib province as Syrian army continues to advance, the Russian Reconciliation Center said citing a tip from local residents.

You mean praising one side of the conflict as "liberators" and describing everyone else as "Al Qaeda"?

Still unclear. There is recent picture of anti-regime fighters posing with some pipes which looks like old manpads, but the Mi-17 was flying very high. Basically this type of helicopters are holding on the highest altitude because they are just dropping barrels full with TNT on whole towns, without aiming at anything else. Here is a good example:
So in my opinion, the helicopter was in the line of fire of more sufisticated weapons owned by the some Turkish military post, who shot it down with or without order.

I just compared the Assad government to typhoid and the Jihadists to cholera. If there is anyone trying to turn this into a black and white thing it is you. My standpoint is a pragmatic one: do not try to replace one bad thing with another bad thing, because it will just cost more innocent lives for no (moral) gain at all. It just means replacing one puppet aligned with Moscow f***ing over his/her citizens, with another puppet f***ing over his/her citizens aligned with Washington. That is all. Anyone peddling regime change in Syria is IMO doing this with a dishonest and insincere mindset. I do not see any evidence of anyone wanting to replace the Assad government for purely humanitarian reasons. Just look on youtube or wherever for videos of oppositional forces attacking Syrian government troops. I have done so since 2011 and this actually changed my mind around the beginning of 2013. Please let me know if you find more than 10% who seem "moderate" to you. Peace out.

It almost seems like Erdogan forgot he militarily invaded another country...
US patrol trying to move through SAA checkpoint in some village, was stopped by locals. That escalates in skirmishes, random automatic fire and finally was deconflicted by arrived Russian patrol.
