Other Post So, how was your day?

Been outside all day in one of the tunnels potting up spring bulbs - even with thermals on it was cold - sunny but cold

Ordered some new Iris about 2 years ago, and they had sufficient now to supply - so they came the other day - the cost was eye watering

They are all now in pots - this might sound really odd, but they are in cat litter - not the wood kind but the expensive non clumping stuff
It's sterile, does not stick together and stays moist but not waterlogged
Everything that needs constant moisture but not too wet do really well in it - you just have to remember to use a liquid feed
Tesco must think we have a lot of cats, as I sometimes order 40 or 50 big bags when we have a home delivery

Done all the small narcissus as well - all the ones 3" high to 10" high - just got the bigger ones to do

Seems to be very short days at the moment
 
More flat rearranging and renovation to come this week. After the bathroom and kitchen tiles renovation earlier this year, we will replace this old sink in the kitchen.

Then and unrelated to my own renovation I have to be here all day this Thursday because electricians are coming to replace those old outlets as well. They will be here by 8am and hopefully this will be over by the early evening.

I can handle some workers here for a whole day along with the noise and having them move my furnitures and stuff, but ideally not for too long since I’m driving missus to her second jab the following morning.
 
It’s been quite a week with the aforementioned flat renovation, but TGIF and all the work went smoothly, and despite the very much gloomy autumn weather, this is a date and day I’ll remember.

I proposed just this afternoon « the one » which I occasionally mention by the term « missus » or Ms Jake. It was a bit presumptuous of me to call her that before. Ah she said yes by the way but I was very much expecting this precise reply.

This is the hand I’m going to hold for the next couple of decades, anyways:

On a serious note, congratulations!

On a more serious note, my K-10 died of parvo last saturday. Gone too soon, Bandit! I still watch for my step when i walk around at night till it dawns on me that his ass is gone.

Western friends reaction: "Aww, it happens though, we are just here if you arent feeling all right"
Eastern friends reaction: "Ha, you are such a shitty human being, couldnt even take care of a kitten that trusted you"

Both works.
