Was at a pallbearer at my uncle's funeral yesterday. My cousin - who is a man in his early fifties - showed up drunk to his own Dad's funeral and several times, tried to provoke his own nephew into a fight. I honestly thought it was going to kick off at the back of the hearse before we'd even pulled the coffin out.
My mother loves baking pastries and died last March, while she was being cremated and everybody was crying I quietly said "this is the way she wanted to go, baking... wonder if this oven is La Germania" My siblings was snickering and everybody else just looked at me in shock.Funerals sure do strange things to people.
