Other Post So, how was your day?

Ah..... last days of the L-1011 in Delta livery. It was a Salt Lake City to DFW ride, if I remember correctly. I think it was my first wide-body ride, so it was pretty impressive. I think both it and the DC-10 had the totally separate 1st class cabin a wall and doors. I was in the middle in business class. We had to fly in suit-and-tie, and I remember little more than that plus the sheer number of seats side-by-side, port to starboard.

I haven't had the experience of riding in 787 yet. What's the issue?

Only wide bodies I've been on are DC-10, L-1011, and 767
Did you use those planes along with Moses to cross to Israel? How old are you ?! :D The L1011 was by far the more superior plane of those for, in fact I would say way ahead up to the current gen in terms of safety and just sheer lockheed awesomeness. Two bad the trijet design was launched right about the same time the Airbus A300 came out.

Day is off to a great start, bring a hot cappuccino to missus in bed and she accidentally spill it over the sheets and her legs and close enough to her private parts.

« Oooh that burns ». Sigh.

Feel terrible for 3 days, a bit heat stroked, weak in my lungs which could be the onslaught of heart failure, to top it off the cable guy came by yesterday and shut off my internet for no reason, today after turning it back on he said he didn't know anyone lived here !!! I was in no shape to get upset and just blew it off but really what is he doing shutting off connections without work orders. Going to go to the drug store tomorrow and get one prescription refilled and I will make an appointment to get my heart checked thursday and also more blood work. I have been fighting this issue of loss of breath when using my upper body to drag or shake or lift anything for about 6 years. Nothing definitive has ever been found wrong with my heart but once I got sucked into that clinic trap they like to keep you on the chain so they can drain your insurance and healthcare. No one made any effort to find why I am short of breath which of course a good lung specialist would be a wise move. I will have my clinic set me up with a specialist for an appointment soon to see what is going on with my upper body. I still believe it is my neck disc all collapsed causing my muscle not to work as it should. In the past I was able to recover very fast but today I am older and it takes longer. I do get sinus attacks but I do not catch colds or flu or any of that other stuff. I am weak and my motor skills are very slow today like my typing and even my eye sight. I will turn in early and hope I get some good rest tonight.

Look after yourself @OldGuy, hope you got a good rest and wake up refreshed ;)

Whilst on my way to work this morning . As i stopped to get my daily refreshments . A woman walked out .. face mask wtf . So she then decided to tell me ...why lolol.

Then tonight as am heading to get the train . A guy dressed wearing a mini skirt etc walked across in front of me . I laughed that much i nearly crashed the bike lol

I thought wearing a skirt for a guy was pretty much standard in Scotland. He forgot the bagpipes?

Finally saw my Dr at the local clinic this afternoon. My heart is good, blood pressure was excellent. Still light headed but several things might be happening. We have very nasty air quality conditions now for almost a month due to severe drought and wild fires, the Dr said there is a very high rate of complaints from other people with the same conditions I have. I have two new prescriptions, a new one for helping me breathe which is a tablet not one of those sprayers. Then one that should help my light headiness. I lost about 11 pounds since my last visit last month. The weather has been just suffering hot. I went to the deli after leaving the clinic and bought a nice dinner for myself and a good salad, got a half a chicken for the three cats living inside and we all pigged out. Both of us have our meal for tomorrow already so that is good news. If I can just get rid of this pain in my shoulders I will be alright. My knee pain has suddenly gone for now, which is one reason I think my neck disc problem has shifted and changed the nerve sensing in my spine. I was told by the neuro Surgeon that there would be changes in my neck as the disc continue to shrink and cone out to shove against my nerve sack along my spine. I always thought it was the cause for my loss of breath when using my upper shoulders and arms, I still today more than ever.

Finally had a day off yesterday went over to Dunoon then down to Toward . Whilst taken some Pics ... An American who was based here on the Clyde now lives in Dunoon asked me if i was on the Carrier "George Washington " .. because of the top i was wearing I think .

Came back over again today and made a spur of the moment decision to stay the night over here at the Argyle Hotel , 50 quid cannae knock it but the room is tiny as chuff lol

Tiny room, reminds me of the one we had with missus in Amsterdam that didn’t even have a window and view. Needless to say the room was so crappy it surely incited us to go wander all day around the city. Bad deal for 80€ then right in January.

I havent had a real PC for over 5 years and am thinking of joining the PC master race once again. However, I have no clue when it comes to PC's. So instead of just going full on US DOD on the subject "just keep throwing money on the problem till it gets sorted out." I'm asking if you guys have some advice. I'm looking at a PC set up thats definitely for gaming... not too flashy, but enough that if I play a flying sim, I better smell the same smell as my cockpits. If I play DayZ, I better hear the distant artillery rounds on the Ukrainian frontier.

Maybe I should get a proper internet first, 400 mbps is decent right? I've been out of gaming for sometime.

In terms of PC skills, im in level: "screaming and flinging poo at the monitor" when trouble shooting them

By the time i got back from getting a few night captures , everything was shut down in this Hotel that was before 10pm . No room service ethier lol . The Tv being up on the wall is in the wrong place and the signal from the remote possibly due to the batteries needing changed was useless , Never had a creaky bed before .

The cupboard under the stairs.....

Nothing beside a snarky pilot banter, a grumpy middle aged frenchie and his clumsy gal and a unlucky Scott getting crappy hotel rooms.

Where’ve you been if you don’t mind me asking?
