He was advertising for a new underpants tester/warmer - advert was in Pars Times - I kid you not :rolleyes:

He is a bloody idiot. His 'political career' ended in 2014, when he choose western side in Ukraine conflict against Russian people. He has lost every sane, moderate supporters in this time.

You guys are delusional about pro-western opposition in Russia. Putin is the most pro-western politician you can get. Real opposition supported by most population in Russia is a communists, imperialists and other harcore patriots.

Not sure what you mean.
Communist party of Russian federation is the second party in Russia, they have a large represenatation in parliament and many local governors and mayors across the country (Mayor of my home city 3rd largest in Russia is a commie btw). Guys, are you really believe that we have Putin's dictatorship with one party like in China or something?

I've read some articles that state that Navalny has a history of embracing Russian ethno-nationalism, and has at times been shunned by liberal groups and figures for his nationalistic views. So it is a bit funny that he is now being fully embraced by liberals in the west.

Just wondered what you guys think of him.

Yes we do - but if he is such an idiot why poison him and give him some prominence - why is he such a threat?

We have all sorts of political nutters in the UK - we don't go round poisoning them - hell sometimes they get elected

I think what we are trying to point out is that Putin is robbing you blind to feather his own 600 bedroom nest/palace - our politicians are not as blatant at robbing the populace and don't need to poison some random just for a bit of fun

@AND @Yevgeny

What are your opinions on Navalny as a politician and contender of Putin?
He is more like a showman rather than politician. Ive been following him since 2009/2010. Quite interesting...

He became a member of liberal Yabloko party in early 2000s. By mid 2000s he began shifting towards opposition nationalists and left Yabloko. So he lost some support among liberals but gained support among conservatives. National-liberalism as they call it. Then in the late 2000s he began his anti-corruption campaign. I remember his first investigations from 2009 and 2010.

Anyway its going to be hot on 23rd. Protests all over the country. We will see how it plays out...

Well, show us what you got, motherfuckers!

For now it is goes quite pathetic across the Far east and Siberia. Very few protesters, hundreds to one or two thousands at bests in every big cities.

Wait for Moscow, the only chance for them to do something big enough.

Everything went as boring as usual pro-western demonstrations in Russia. Mostly peaceful, very minor in most regions and quite massive in Moscow. No any significant violence, no heavily wounded. Lots of people arrested in Moscow (most of them will be released in next hours with minor fines or few days detentions), one government car was destroyed by protesters. Problem of Navalny and Co is that they just can't attract any new supporters in the last several years, especially outside Moscow and Spb.
