Does anyone know how many 2PL conversions have been completed until now?

In December 2019, the Ministry of National Defense announced that "negotiations are currently underway with the Contractor to sign annexes updating the provisions of the contract, which include, among others the so-called. "resultant repairs" or repairs of tank components. The subject of the contract since its conclusion is also the improvement of tanks, for this purpose the Contractor was required to verify. Transmission of verification reports for the first batch of 64 tanks, the Contractor completed November 15 this year. "
According to the program, Rheinmetall Defense was not only to provide tanks to help establish in Poland (in Bumar) the ability to operate and support them. This assumption, regardless of the literal interpretation of the contracts, has not been met yet, and even if it succeeds in the future, it will be delayed. What's more, it is possible that the German partner will expect additional funds beyond the February 2016 agreement, since - in its interpretation - he was responsible only for specific elements, and not for improving the tanks as a whole. In fact, the scope of obligations towards Rheinmetall has not been fully defined ...

In 2018, a prototype and several pre-series tanks came to Poland from Germany. Research has begun. Unofficial information indicates that some of the elements of at least one tank - those not subject to modernization - were not functional. PGZ Vice President Sebastian Chwałek indirectly confirmed this in August 2019
