In Poland, this solution has been working for almost 30 years. This improvised self-propelled anti-aircraft system (called "Hibneryt"), designed to combat low-flying and ground targets. Therefore, the old saying that the makeshift is the most durable ... Partially, because while the first version of Hibneryt was a classic improvised solution - an off-road truck with an anti-aircraft gun mounted on the load box, the next - the second - an attempt to create a "guntruck" for a fairly universal purpose ( fighting aerial and ground targets) with an armored cabin and makeshift armor of the load box, the latest incarnation of the "improvised" anti aircraft set. is already a full-fledged "guntruck" (in the pictures below). 'Normal' trucks with a load box get into the armor. The new design has contoured side armor of the box, with upper and lower sides inclined at an angle, an armored cabin, and a V-shaped bottom, which helps dissipate the energy of possible explosions under the vehicle.
The development of this "improvised" construction continues ...
