He might blocked if you said:
a) M1 Abrams is bad tank
b) Leopard is good tank
c) something that he don't like.

A lot of words but little substance.

It is quite puzzling why they are dragging their feet on the short range anti-air missiles, additional ATGM (Spike LR2 which could be procured in Poland), additional NSM, HIMAR, etc etc. Why are they waiting until mid year for Borsuk trials? Prioritizing Abrams and Frigates while ignoring "urgent operational gear" is something out of cloud cukoo land.
Well maybe the M.S. 406 will finally show up.

As a result of analyzes of materials provided by the PGZ-MIECZNIK Consortium in December 2021, the Polish Armed Forces made a preselection of preferred suppliers of the platform design and combat system for new multi-purpose ships of the Polish Navy. In the course of negotiations, the PGZ-MIECZNIK Consortium concluded strategic cooperation agreements with suppliers of first choice - Babcock, Thales UK and MBDA UK.
So it will be AH140(type31) type ship

NAREW - short range anti air system programme
"In cooperation with the domestic and foreign defense industry, a decision was made to acquire elements of the CAMM effector system and their further integration with Polish components. As a result of the contract, two fire units of the short-range air defense system will be acquired, the first of which will be delivered to the Polish Armed Forces in September this year. The second fire unit will be delivered at the turn of 2022 and 2023. Along with air defense systems, the contract provides for the acquisition of a training and logistics package and support for the contractor in the operation of military equipment."

i will post more info tomorrow when it will be signed and details will be revealed.

I guess they are finally recognizing the hour has grown late,
I am surprised by the quick delivery, even though it is not the optimum configuration.

@Tymotka i was also surprised about quick delivery, its only 5 months.

NAREW Programme
The hardware configuration of the fire unit, as defined in the contract, will be based on appropriately adapted elements, including air transportable SOŁA radar, Polish-made weapon control devices, transport and loading vehicles, three iLauncher launchers and the appropriate number of CAMM missiles, ensuring the operational capabilities required by the Polish Armed Forces. .
The above set of items, due to the fact that SOŁA radars will eventually be replaced with new SAJNA radars, it is not the final configuration of the NAREW fire unit. Nevertheless, the contracted military equipment will be used to a large extent in the target configuration of the NAREW system, as exemplified by the CAMM family missiles, the acquisition of which starts the process of absorption of the effector system technology by the Polish industry. Domestic contractors will also conduct the process of integrating the missile launcher with JELCZ vehicles, and Polish radars and the command and control system will be adapted to work with the CAMM effector system.

Better late than never.

https://defence24-pl.translate.goog/?_x_tr_sl=pl&_x_tr_tl=en&_x_tr_hl=en

Possible additional MLRS for Poland. This is truly an area that needs to be prioritized.

These assets could be incorporated into the upcoming IBCS and would be an extremely potent and versatile weapon.
I'm a little sceptical regarding the quantities announced here, and "polonization" will delay fielding these systems for some years, but 4-5 additional batteries bought off the shelf are an immediate requirement.

There are other announcements this week coming out of Poland regarding additional defence procurements in addition to CAMM & Patriot. There will be attempts to expedite those acquisitions and possible "lend-lease" initiatives, foreign financing and outright grants .

Poland needs everything, and despite raising the defence budget and special financing schemes, it is hard to see where the money would come from to fund these programs and everything is a priority.

The MLRS should be on the shortlist.

Funny thing is, number of units requested in LOR (500), is more than whole production up to this date. Apparently polonization will allow us to mount it on Jelcz trucks, connect with Topaz FCS and delivery could be faster than ppl imagine.

Other news, Polish MOD is apparently looking for second IFV next to NPBWP Borsuk, which would enter Polish Army to help with transition from BWP-1 to Borsuk. Rumours say that those vehicles are possibile:
AS-21
K-21
Puma IFV (was on powerpoint slide during Defence Day)
Kapelan
M2 Bradley/OMFV (was on powerpoint slide during Defence Day).

From most to least likely.
And its not the end of the week, what will be revealed tomorrow? 120 AH-64Es? :D

Mariusz Błaszczak's visit to this country (Korea) and in these times is therefore extremely interesting, especially in the context of statements by representatives of the Armaments Agency on new, numerous purchases that will "shock" us.

@Fluff
I feel like they might still need them because of the Ajax fiasco

Introduction of K2 for PL military by Defence Minister Mariusz Błaszczak who is on trip to South Korea.
We will consistently increase the armored potential of the Polish Armed Forces. I have read the offer to buy Korean K2 tanks. The cooperation will assume a high level of Polonization, which will give an impetus to the development of the Polish armaments industry

Minister @mblaszczak: I hope it will be a good offer and, together with the Polish defense industry, the K2 tanks will soon be used by the Polish Army.

Here is quote about possible future joint PL-SK wheeled IFV,
"Minister @mblaszczak : During my visit to Hyundai Rotem, I also got acquainted with the offer regarding wheeled armored personnel carriers. It is also a very good offer, also addressed to the Polish defense industry."
