This is the best photo of a Chinese soldier working I've ever seen. Period. He's chaining down a Type 96 tank aboard an unknown PLAN LST. Look at that sweat, the dirt ...the grime. This is real. Not one of those pristine pretty boys or girls that sometimes are in PLA pix..yea.. look at the deck of the ship. It's dirty because those tanks were just in a landing exercise..this photo is OUTSTANDING!!

A WZ-19 attack helicopter is displayed at the Third China Helicopter Expo in Tianjin on Thursday. These are fresh recruits going to basic training. Note the absence of insignia's on their uniforms.

The PLA send recruits to basic training at the same time every year. However this year, 2015, however seems to be a month or so earlier than usual. I've been following the PLA for over 10 years.

PLAN task force passing through Kiel Canal into North sea local time on Oct-12-2015 for the first time after just concluded visit to Poland. Along the way, local residents waved friendly hellos to the ship's officers, and also taken pictures with the PLAN ships as the background.

Next the PLAN task force will enter Elbe river, through Dover, the English channel then the Bay of Biscay, and then Lisbon, Portugal for a friendly visit.

The training program including searching in mountains, rock climbing and rapid marching while carrying more than 30 kilograms. The objective of the four-day training course is to enhance physical abilities and mental preparation against terrorist attacks.
