A grand military parade was held in Beijing on Tuesday 1 October 2019 to mark the People's Republic of China's 70th founding anniversary. Check out some of the parade highlights.







ZTQ-15 lightweight battle tanks rumble through Tian'anmen Square.



China's unmanned aerial vehicle phalanxes participate in the military parade.

These armored anti-riot vehicles are mainly used to crack down on terrorism and violence.



The upgraded DF-31A missile formation is reviewed during the National Day military parade.

The female militia team members wearing white military caps and white boots were all selected from the women's militia in Beijing, with an average age of 26 years and an average height of 1. 7 meters. The team leader is 27-year-old Zhao Bingqing...popeye's notes...China recruits people to march in these grand parades. Most females you see marching are members of marching malitas. Their term of service is about 9 months. They train only to march and very basic military drills. They must meet specific physical standards as to height and weight and overall physical appearance.The same is true for many of the men marching you see in these grand parades.
