The three ships steamed in formation and practiced tactical manoeuvring, coordinated helicopter flying operations, anti-submarine and anti-surface warfare and conducted a combined five-inch gun firing.
Five personnel each from Halsey and Warramunga ‘cross decked’ during the exercise to experience life in their ally’s ship while building professional relationships.
Called Noble Dingo, the exercise was designed to enhance the three navies’ ability to operate together and was part of the Indo-Pacific regional presence deployment Warramunga has been undertaking throughout South and South East Asia.
